Writer's Block: Timely Departures

[Error: unknown template qotd] I'd like to go back to see the building of some of the world's greatest wonders...the Egyptian and Aztec pyramids, and in particular, Stonehenge - to see how they did and, in the case of Stonehenge,  why they built it.

I was shocked and saddened to hear that Mask ( Charles Lewis Jr.) of TapouT passed away on March 11th, 2009, succumbing to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  Even more upsetting is that the accident was apparently caused by a drunk driver, who of course, did NOT sustain any life threatening injuries. 

According to the article, the other driver was arrested on charges of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.  He has already posted his $1mm bail, and has been released.  Niiiiice.

While I doubt that they will at any point, see this post, my thoughts and condolences are nontheless with the Tapout Family, and Mask's family and friends.

If you've ever seen the TapouT show, or are a fan of the UFC and MMA in general, you know that Mask was a hell of a guy, over the top and completely committed to supporting up and coming mixed martial artists.

He will be missed.

Hockey Fail

Little Green Gods.  The Leafs are losing again. Yeah - I know; surprise - what am I, blonde or something?

Still. Tampa Bay. 2nd last in the East, and 15 points behind the Leafs.  This is a team we should beat, and yet. Fail. In the 3rd period. Again.

*sigh*

Update. Awesomeness - Wilson just got booted for bitching about the (usual, unfortunately) lack of reasonable officiating. I am *so* looking forward to the post game conference.
